This year, for a lack of a better word, flew away. I changed internships from a company I felt wasn’t my jam, to another where I felt like I was unnecessary, to finally landing a job that paid me for what I did. It changed my mindset for everything; no longer did I have to ask my dad if the thing I wanted was in the budget for the month, or if we could save up for the thing I wanted, (which obviously made it so he couldn’t get things he wanted). It’s finally up to me now. I could just buy what I wanted, (after saving some of it) just like I always wanted. But as with any good thing, you get a few bad things, but I’m not going to dwell on that. I made a few new friends, lost a few family members (one that I held dear to my heart and looked up to). My sister is about to get married (as of writing, the marriage is on Jan. 1st). And life moves on. This was the year I finally took a literal step forward in my life.
